with my new to me vintage Cornwell mechanics' tool chest. In fact I have decided to make Cornwell my new main tools to replace the ever declining quality Craftsmans. I went to pick up the Mac bottom chest I bought from Rose Jackets67 yesterday and he had just decided to turn loose of this gorgeous old Cornwell 10 draw mechanics' chest. We loaded the Mack base unit up first and then the Cornwell and the Cornwell was just as heavy as the Mac. The draws pull out and in smooth as silk on both and especially the Cornwell. And this guy Adam is one super nice dude. Even came up with some creative financing since I didn't come prepared to buy both. Thanks Adam!!!
Here are some pics of my new baby...

Can anyone tell me the age of this Cornwell.

That's a nice set. I'm always amazed at how nice the drawers work in these older boxes.

Good people are fair and trusting. Too rare in today's world.

Elroy also likes your step stool and railroad track anvil. Elroy has a section of track as well. Talk about a work hardened surface. It's tuff !!

Nice old box. Elroy is sure it has a good home.

I bought one new just like that in 71. Mine was made by Waterloo (same drawer configuration ). Damn good box.

My brother gave me a waterloo tool cabinet that was built in the late 70s.Looks like it has the same handles as you're cornwell. That thing is built like a tank. They sure don't build them like that anymore.

Didn't even notice teh railroad track until you said something. I have two - one in the garage and one at school. We use the one at school as a percussion instrument. There area few pieces for concert band that require a "hammer and anvil" sound, believe it or not.
