I love SO tools, pretty much anything made in my home country USA. I like all quality tools I guess, wrenching is a fun escape for me and not work.

Anyway, I’m new here and I’ve been reading about Koken and Nepros.. well I bought one. Came in a few hours ago and it’s just like you all said. Finish second to none and smooth. My wife is Japanese, and I really like their culture. They perfect things, not necessarily over engineer.

Anyway, I blame you all as I’m going to need more. It’s beautiful.

That’s a great choice to start with, wonderful ratchet.

Ty sir. I figured I’d get the most mileage with a small 3/8, plus be more able to feel the quality as it’s entirely in my hand. I’ll have others, but I won’t buy any of the big heavies as it doesn’t make sense to me. I bought the single short wobble extension, kind of wished I got the three piece set. Ty

Personally I like Koken’s extensions better, for the really heavy knurling. I use them all the time and find it helpful.

I put Nepros extensions and sockets in one of my toolboxes, they’re absolutely gorgeous but I generally reach for the Kokens.

Nepros T-handles are next level, really wonderful.

They sure look like quality tools, but a little pricey for me!

I can’t think of a better place to depict Historical Allegory than on the handle of a wrench!

I don’t understand this lol. Maybe just marketing, kind of like car manufactures will make an ultra expensive a low production model, it elevates the entire brand.

I blame you all as I am certain there has been a large increase in prices since it became more popular in USA websites (like here) and YouTube.

The western Nepros website use to be very competitive in pricing and often the cheapest source I could find. Now with their current prices I can usually find cheaper prices from Japanese Online stores which is a bit of a hassle sometimes.

They also use to use the western Nepros site to facilitate sales of regular KTC tools to westerners. Again the prices use to be very competitive when corresponding by E-Mail. Now I don't usually bother to contact them as it is just cheaper to buy from Japan retailers.

I believe my first Nepros tool was in 2012.

We travel to Chiba, where my wife’s family lives, in the summer. Im going to see what prices are like while there. I may just buy this way.
