I swear I can not walk onto a tool truck and Not buy anything. I got on the Mac truck bought a service cart and a new impact about 2 weeks ago. And now today I get on the MAtco Truck and buy a set of Mid length Swivel Sockets Impact. I swear I'm cursed to buying tools every time I step foot on a truck. And the more tools on the truck the more temping it is to buy. Like MAc and Snap on that drops by don't have a whole lot on their trucks. But Matco has sooooo damn much packed on his truck that I just want to look and look for so long. And then I talk myself right into buying something. Anyone else in the same boat??

Absolutely in the same boat. I convince myself that I'll need it eventually and if its on sale I buy it. I don't tool truck shop, but Sears and the internet make up for that! It's an addiction nearly every person on this board has...

You're suffering from some type of tool/personality disorder and addiction. Check your medical insurance; they might have some counseling available to get you over this....:lol_hitti:beer:

It's funny, I almost never buy anything impulsively on a truck.. Afterwards seeing something, I think about it during the day, then decide I want it and email my dealer with pics and part number. When I walk off after paying him the next week, he says "send me more emails!!"

I stopped by tooldiscounter.com's headquarters today and walked out with 2 Grey socket sets and a set of 3/8 impact extensions. Now that I know they are so close I have a feeling I might be making monthly trips to pick up new items.

Last week ended a 3 month run of tool buying on ebay.

So yes I feel your pain too.

I have not set foot on a truck in years thank god! There is something very addictive in that behavior! I think I would equate it to the initial rush a guy gets from going to the nudie bar for the first time! :lol_hitti

Tool trucks and stores I have no trouble leaving empty handed, but when I see somebody using a cool tool, and it is even hinted at it being "hard to get" "rare" etc. then I can't help but hunt one down and buy it. Buying something off the truck at full price has no hunt in it.

Worse yet is when it's slow at work, there is plenty of room on the credit cards and you have access to the web.
