This has probable been covered before but are Grip tools any good and what about T&E tools. I looked but didnt find any thing on them.

One day, when HDC came to town, I bought a Grip 12V battery tester. I didn't need it right then, it was cheap, so I bought it for future use. I ended up testing a car battery. The instructions say to hold the switch for 10 seconds. I let off the switch after 4 seconds because smoke started coming out the vents. 
I'm not sure, maybe it has to burn oil off something or something like that, but I didn't think it was supposed to do that.
I ended up wishing I had purchased a "higher quality" Harbor Freight item.

Cheap stuff. Whatcha lookin at that stuff for? Basic homeowner use? I'd think (from what I've seen) that even HF would do fine for that. If you're just getting a stopgap tool that's most likely getting boned anyways, I don't see a problem with buying cheap. But professional use is not going to happen with those tools

I mean if your gonna get some impact sockets or a couple huge *** wrench's from id say you'd be alright that's just what I've noticed sold a coupe winch's from them $99 a piece always came back to the counter.............Hell no we cant fix it should bought a Mile Maker, or a Warn
