I wanted a way to bend smaller pieces of metal. After searching online, I decided to build this. It still needs some refinement, but it bends great so far. One thing I need to come up with, is a way to ensure I am not bending past 90 without removing the piece.

Thats going to come in handy.
You may want to add a 1/4'' or more plate between the jack and tube contact point to spread the load. Or your going to dent the tube.Couple inches wide should to the trick.

Looks good. If I was adding any more plates, I'd step a couple like a low pyramid.

AFA s not bending past 90º you can place a strip in the tray so it bottoms out at 90. Different strips for different thicknesses.

My brother got me the knife and die from scrap at work, and then I made it after the Swag model. I can flip the die around to bend different angles. I've been using it a lot. Just last night I bent up a tow bar for my Otter Ice fishing sled. Saved about $60

I have to add return springs, so it lifts the knife back up when done.

That is a cool design. There seem to be 3 different types available on the website. While I fab most of my stuff, something like that I would just buy. I am SOOOO backed up in my car restorations,:(

I have the SWAG finger break, made quite a few brackets with it recently and it does a great job

These are 3/16" plate about 8" long

Also bent up these upper shock mounts and bag brackets out of 3/16

'72 C10, nice. I only ask because I am a car guy, and I was interested in that suspension and the mods you are doing. Didn't know if you had a build thread somewhere for it.

Sorry to jack the thread.
