I feel like a kid at Christmas!

My garage is finally built, and I am working on my floors today. I am going with a Polyurea floor, which I bought from Garage Flooring, LLC. They have been very helpful and informative and suggested a telephone walk-through of the process, which we did. I highly recommend them.

I ordered my 4 Post from Wildfire, which arrived at the shipper a week later. I was expecting two or three weeks to get the lift, so I'll have to wait on my floors to put it together. That is a good problem to have I suppose.

I am very excited for everything to come together and I can't wait to do my first oil change next week. Now, If I can just get the Duke Energy contractor to bury some power. I'm being told early next week. Fingers crossed.

Sometimes older if I had been doing a lot of work the past week.

You may want to have the horizontal tracks where the garage door is in the up position
close to the ceiling for clearance if you are going to have a lift. Run the tracks within
1 foot of the ceiling and get that door out of your way. I never understood why the
installers by default install the horizontal tracks just barely above the door opening.
Also it looks like your opener is right in line with the scuttle hole to access the attic.
Nothing says you have to have the opener exactly centered on the garage door.
Offset it 2 feet to the side, do whatever you need to do for clear access to the scuttle
hole. The opener will still work fine.

I just dumped a gallon of boiled linseed oil out on my cement floor,
spread it out with a paint roller, and saved cubic dollars, and have
a well protected and good looking floor.

Raised maybe 1 foot. Looks like he has 3 feet to work with there.
Why would one not put all 3 garage door tracks as high as possible ?? ?

Great observations. Attic access is clear. Lift goes in middle bay with high rise track follow the roof track on a cathedral ceiling. We're good.

Looks great. I really like the vaulted ceiling idea. What are your dimensions? What is your wall height, 10'? What is height the vaulted ceiling area?

Garage is 26 x 36. 10' walls. It's almost 14' at the peak of the cathedral. I can't explain why I didn't make the whole garage cathedral. Woulda shoulda coulda.

Couldn't tell ya. Makes no difference to me in my current configuration. Hindsight, I would have cathedraled the whole ceiling with high rise tracks. If I ever need more lifts for storage, I can have the tracks raised. Doubt I ever need such, but ya never know.
