Hey guys, excited to be here and building a garage. I have an existing open-air carport. The rear wall goes intro grade and is heaving and cracked. Instead of just repairing it, I am blowing out the rear wall and bringing it back in line with the rear of the house. I am changing the pitch of the roof to keep the height inside the garage the same all the way back.

The idea is to pour a concrete floor (with trench drain) and put on insulated doors as well. I need a knee wall to support the beam that will be necessary to support the roof weight where the old back wall is. I am posting looking for ideas and suggestions, as well as things I may have overlooked and be missing.

The new space is 32' deep and 25' wide. (the addition isnt huge, 25' wide and 10' deep) but should give me enough room for a good sized workshop to keep the vehicles in good working condition! Plans are drawn up and I have dug out the addition (by hand. ya. it sucked.) footings are supposed to go in next week. Comments or ideas please let me know!
