I finally have a workshop!

The Copper Dog Garage

Now that I'm employed, my girlfriend has asked me to move in with her. Part of the deal is I get to take over an enclosed area of the garage that was used as a dog kennel. This is an area of about 26'x13' that I will use as a workshop, brewery, office and hunting/fishing/camping gear storage area. Right now it's piled with random stuff.

There are a few things that need to be done before I can start building a workbench and moving things in. I could use some advice on good ways to tackle the following;

1. Clean & patch the walls. There are muddy dogprints all over and a few holes.
2. Paint.
3. Clean floor. It's a bare concrete floor that hasn't been cleaned in years.

There is also some chainlink fencing that needs to be moved out, as well as an old couch that needs to go to the dump.

After that, I build a workbench, some overhead storage and upgrade the lighting. Then I can move my tools & desk in and finally build my 1/3 barrel brewery!

It's not much, but i'm excited to finally have a place to get some freaking work (and brewing) done!

Work day one is complete. I accomplished more than I expected. I moved a bunch of stuff away from the window and the wall to its left, filled all the holes and scrubbed the walls down. I'm now ready for paint on those two walls!

My garage use to be a kennel. Pure breed labs. I cut down all the fencing inside cut hole in the side, garage door and did the inner walls. Also a complete new roof.

I have owned it 10 years, if you drop something on the floor and chip the concrete, you will guickly smell dog though out the place

Painting and cleanup is done! Here is how it sits right now:

I have patched all holes, painted, cleaned the floors, replaced all the wall outlets and plates and put rubber wall base down. Next is to install an electric wall heater (where the piece of OSB is.) and put down a rug on the front part where my office area will be.

I ran out of paint. I also have a line on some corrugated roofing that I was thinking about putting up there.
