Congrats and share photos after cleanup.

I love the idea of a taco cart, but each time I look at one, I have to remind myself it doesn't fit the way I work or the way I use my boxes.

Wow, was that used by a millwright in a cement factory? :) Sheesh, the dude could've spent 10 minutes giving it a superficial cleaning and got more $$$$$. People are lazy and lack imagination.

But great score for you. You ****!

That's awesome! Good find. I recently realized I think one of those would work really well in my garage.

I had to pass on one of these at auction today, even though it was a steal at $300. Flying solo at an auction, no way to get it home, and had spent most of my stash prior to this one being sold. I expected it to sell much higher, and I'm kicking myself tonight. Nice condition, smooth, well-greased slides, with the 70's era script logo. Dammit!

I cleaned this side with mineral spirits and then started wet sanding with 400 grit paper.

I wondered the same thing but was too chickenshit to ask lol
Because the proper GJ nomenclature is "Taco Cart". As previously explained taco carts were all over SoCal street corners around the aircraft and auto plants and in the hood.

A little more wet sanding on the front left panel after work.

Still working on removing all the over spray. I wet sanded two lower drawers and I'll probably need to repaint as i cut through to bare metal on the edges.

Well done Dreamer! I bought one from an old aircraft mechanic. Did you have difficulty finding one?
I picked one up awhile back and love it. Tip- those casters have zerk fittings. I removed all four casters, cleaned up and squirted some grease in mine. I can now pull and push the cart with one finger.

Nice box,

I recently picked up a bottom box and cleaned it from top to bottom, inside and out, I don't think I want to do it again.

I could probably feel how your going through, but once done it will be worth it
