I bought their 3/8" x 1/4" double flex head long ratchet. Not one of their cheapest items and I've never seen it on sale. I haven't used it much, and not abused it at all. But on the surface it seems as good as any of the formerly USA brands now made overseas. I think it is Taiwan not ML-C. It has been useful as an "access" tool, especially when I've needed to frequently switch back & forth between two sizes like 3/8" and 1/2" that are in the overlap zone between 1/4" and 3/8" drive. My other flexies are vintage Craftsman and tool-truck brands.

I'm not sure if I understand why buying a ratchet from a place that might not be around when it breaks is a good idea. Why not spend more now and be more sure that you will be able to get it replaced or fixed when it craps out?

HF isn't going anywhere at all. The one by me is packed full of customers every single day...the lot is completely full every weekend. One of the truck brands has a better chance of going out of business than HF.
