Ok,

Here's mine. It doesn't have the second socket like yours, and Grandpa needed clearance on something so he turned it down.

Mine is a Williams, 9/16" 12pt with a 1/2" drive.

If I had to guess, yours is a 1" T handle socket with the smaller socket welded on and turned down. The chrome looks a little suspect right by the joint.

If you shine a light down the 1" end do you see a square where a socket drive was?

To Mohawk Dave_ I see the similarity, but not the same, as you said.
To Dr. Clyde - Yes, there is the 1/2" square drive at the bottom of the 1" socket, but can't see a drive at the bottom of the 7/16" socket.
Been busy as ever at work, so I haven't had time to contact Stanley about it.
It's still sitting on my desk, mocking me every morning.
We will get to the bottom of this mystery together!

what about a telephone company key?
7/16 for the wire connections, 1" for a quasi cabinet lock (1" head recessed in a escutcheon )
