Yeah I think so. I clicked on "Place bid" at 5 minutes to go and just stayed ready at the "confirm bid" button until 6:59:45PM came around and then I clicked the button. I guess in those last 5 minutes when I wasn't watching the current bid, someone snuck a bid in underneath me like you said.

that's why I always have a second window of the auction open and keep refreshing it until the end.

there is a refresh link right on the page.....i'll use it. if it's something i really want i'll bid really high in the last seconds, chances are the other bidders are only adding small increments.

Merk just go up to your toolbar click file then click new window it will open up a new window of the same page you are looking at then you can refresh that window while holding the other to place your bid.

Chances are you are not going to win one in new condition for under $50.00, It is going to take $60.00 @ that price you are still getting a bargain. Find one in good condition and bid $60.00 The f831 or 936.

Okay. Pull up the auction you want to bid on. Copy the URL out of the bar at the top of the page, and open a new window. Paste it in the bar there, and hit enter. Now you have the same webpage up twice. Use one to place your bid at the last second, and the other to keep refreshing the auction to see if anyone bids.

don't feel to bad tonight I waited a second or two too long to hit the bid button so my bid didn't even register before the auction ended

I bought it for $50.00 off of fleabay, and I got a very nice offer on it. I have the FLF80 & locking head 936 & FLFH936. So I did not need it.
I have used the 830 series alot as well as the 936 series and the 936 is tougher imo.
My reasoning is I have never had to rebuild a 936 yet, and I have had to have 4 of the 830's rebuilt. I have about the same amount of usage with each. I'm talking real breakage here not intentional or misuse.

Really? Why? That "Most common metric bolt sizes" thread seems to imply there is no known application for a 16mm wrench!

I've used a 16 mm wrench before. I would rather pay the few dollars and have a complete set, whether I use it or not. It just pissed me off when there's a piece "missing" from a set.

I've started using auctionsniper.com and just calling it a day
I still have my dedicated OEXM160 vintage at the ready though.
Mine is the shiniest one in my 20+ year old set.

Sometimes when I buy **** at HF that needs to be assembled, I have to use a 16mm wrench... and a 15mm and a 17mm, because none of the bolt heads are consistent!
They definitely use some crazy fasteners on that stuff. 1/4-20 thread with a 10mm head, or 5/8" nuts on 8mm fasteners.
I have seen some that NOTHING would fit except an adjustable wrench.

Yeah, not to mention that they use grade 2 hardware or some other pot metal ****. So, if you actually get the fastener together without wisting the damn thing, you are already doing good!
When I was putting together a welding cart, I found a supposedly 8 or 10mm bolt with - 5 side. Maybe Chinese numbers skip 6????
