I had a Jack Daniels 1.75 Litre bottle that was empty from one of my inlaws 50th birthday celebrations. I thought it was a cool looking bottle. I asked him if he wanted it as a souvenir ,And he said no. So I made a lamp out of it

My wife accidently knocked over the lamp that was on the end table when she was decorating for her brothers surprise 50th birthday. It shattered and needless to say couldn't be fixed.
The next day I decided to take the guts from the broken lamp I bought a 1/2 inch bit for glass and drilled a hole in the back near the base, ran the wire through and out the neck. Then I drilled the cap and used the salvaged electrical parts from the totaled lamp and assembled them in the Jack's bottle.
My wife really likes it thinks it's pretty cool. We have it where it is for the time being until she can find another set of matching lamps for the living room. I'll most likely use it in my office when she finds what she likes.
