I finally broke down and got a new 18v Makita drill, impact and flashlight set.

I am very happy with the new set but when putting my new tools away I suddenly had a pile of old.

I had the Makita 9.6v 3/8 impact drill and flashlight. They had usual problems the outer ring of the flashlight is broken so the lens keeps falling out, 2 batteries are stone dead 2 are just wore out and do not hold much of a charge at all. The drill works but makes bad noises. And the 3/8 impact is in great shape except dead batteries.

I hate to throw out the working chargers and impact - So if anyone has good batteries for the Makita 9.6 and wants the impact or needs the charges let me know I will ship it for free to a good home.

Do you have a local Freecycle ?
I give a lot of stuff away through ours.
It's good to know they are going to be used and appreciated.

I'm tempted by that. My dad had one of those and the only reason he ever went to another drill is because the charger died on him.

My father-in-law could use both the impact and the chargers if you still have them.
