OK, so stick built 24x26 open space high ceiling, on slab no footing, insulated arched doors, $1200 copper roof cupola, etc etc etc.
What would you think the building with the floor should cost?

Then what would the finished product cost,
add 100a 220v panel
add radiant heat
add lighting
add door openers
add insulation

what do you think it would cost finsihed and just weather tight?

I am thinking $24K weather tight and $30K done...

Where?

I think you are in the ballpark at 24k, if by "finished and just weather tight" you mean that the inside is bare studs and open trusses (and no cupola), but outside finishes can add a lot. My 24 x 40 came in at $29k, finished outside, bare inside, with 100A panel, gas and water plumbed into the structure.

When you add in all the finishing, it gets expensive fast. By the time I was "done", I had almost $50k in the shop itself.

I think Steevo is spot on if you add for the increase in prices since he built his. $35K weather tight and $70-75 finished the way you described sounds more realistic around here and this is a cheap area to live.

Connecticut is where it will be built
Hey steevo, I was thinking $24K with the outside finished including doors, cupola, trim, doors, etc, on a slab inside studs and joists, no electric, no water, nothing....... $29K sounds super cheap for 24x40, I checked out your pics, your building looks nice, that is a foundation with footing, this is just a slab!!! and 24x40 is an additional 330+ sq ft...

edit- coljar, I didnt take in account he built 6 years ago, and everyone was looking for work back then...

I am going to see if $20K cash can get it done outside... His building is 50% larger!!!
