I know nothing (about garage flooring)

Well, finally at age 30-something I've managed to buy my first home.

It has a 1.5 car garage with a floor in disrepair, some major cracking etc.

I'd like to not only make it look nicer, but seal it up so it functions well (e.g. with spills being easy to clean up). I literally know NOTHING about garage flooring, so where should I begin my reading? I see one sticky with a single link in it, so maybe some more guidance would be helpful. For example, what keyword should I use to search the flooring subforum here to begin my knowledge journey?

It's more like keywords, plural. Try floor tiles, floor mats, epoxy, floor sealers, garage floor repair, and go from there. It will require a lot of reading. Many of your questions will be answered when doing this, but the ones that are not, just ask away.

Fair enough, I composed the message last night on my phone, and I definately meant "keywords."
