Well I have had this floor heat running Since mid Dec....... I had a few initial concerns about my system as the slab was not insulated......Some guys told me my boiler would struggle to keep up even........ However I am happy to say the heat works awesome ! I keep the thermostat at 64 and it seems during the day the shop sits at 68-70 and the boiler doesn't even come on till night..............The system seem to be very powerful and fast...if the shop is at 64 I can adjust the stat to 67 and it only takes about 20 minutes to come up 3 degrees, and this is in a -20 C climate............. My shop does have closed cel foam insulation from top to bottom, so that must help...But I must say this floor system is much better then I was expecting.... I am using a 8KW Lion Boiler....shop is 22x28 with 10"ceiling and 2lb closed cell foam in walls and rafters...slab however has zero insulation

Sometimes underslab insulation is a tad bit over rated, of course that depends on geographic location, in some of the lower Midwestern states storing heat under that slab was considered normal and it could slow down swings in temps on smaller slabs.
