They make the best excuses to go out and buy new tools

I'll let the pictures do most of the talking :bounce:

Whatcha building?

Oh wait, stairs.
Nice job on the new tools. I'd love to have more woodworking tools but I don't really have the room and I hate saw dust. I do all my cutting in the driveway but it's a pain coming back into the shop or if it's raining.

I'm redoing all 36 stairs in Oak, and the landings and hallways in Hardwood.
I hate sawdust too, but a shopvac makes cleanup quick!

and the left over oak strips burn nicely in the fireplace :bounce:

Sorry to hijack, but how do you like those Buck Bros. chisels? I have a set of Craftsmans and they took quite a bit of time on the stones to get to where they would produce an acceptable cut. I would love to get some Lie-Nielsens or old Stanley 750s, but until I am a bit more proficient, I am just trying to find something affordable that will get the job done with decent results.

For the price, i love them. They are relatively sharp straight out of the packaging, a minute on the fine side of the stone and your golden. Only $ 20 at Home Depot. I have two sets  One for finish work and one for general use.

But then again, im no professional carpenter, just a 21 yr old college student.
