My Old Garage

These are some pictures of the garage I built at my old house. It was 30 x 40 with a 12 foot ceiling. I really wish I didn't move. I had my heart and soul in it. It's not near as nice as some on here but it was a first and a great learning experience.

That's a great garage! I'd kill to own a place like that. My story is the other way round, I left a tiny grotty little place behind and I'm moving on to greater things at our new house, but I still miss that little 8 x 16 asbestos and wood 'shack'. I had another place that was used for storing junk, but it was a ways from the house so not really practical, and had no power in either.

I spent nearly four years working in this place, complete with lack of headroom, spiders, dust, uneven concrete floor etc

Is that a "Punch" Cad Design image?
I've been using that software to design my new shop.
It really gives you a great walk through of what you will really get then your done.
BTW sorry you had to move away from that place.

It is Punch. It helps give you an idea of what the finished product will be.

I need to know more about the Jeep crane, who does it work, do you have the patent?

There's no patent here:) I just needed a way to lift my trusses. I had a jeep with a winch and I had a long ladder so I built it to do the work. It worked great.

Yep I thought it was a ladder, guess you don’t have any more detail picks, as you probably just pulled it apart and got on with the next thing.

I have thought about using the winch that way myself but unfortunately access to get the truck in is a problem, so I have been using block and tackles

That Jeep crane is a bit redneck, ain't it? I LOVE IT!:bounce:

So...what's the story? Are you gonna build another garage at your current place?

Well it's a long story... Patrick built that garage as a single man...
Then he went and found himself a girl...
Then he had to make her an honest woman...
Then he went and got her all pregnant...
Now there's gonna be little baby-Patrick(s) around...

Patrick doesn't play with his Jeeps as much as he used to, and I don't see a garage in his future, but I will say he's made good decisions and trades all along the way. She's a great lady, good in the garage, and they suit one another. Worst case, his wife will get tired of not being able to work on HER Jeep and "motivate" him!!!:lol_hitti
