Just looking for a quick recommendation.
I want to make a custom 1/4" bit screwdriver. My plan is basically to epoxy a bit extension into a homemade handle. I'd like to use a US-made extension if I can, but I'm having trouble finding one.
Zephyr makes several, ex: part #ZM10-L6, however they have a really wide (7/16") flare at the end.
Megapro shaftLOK extensions are made in the US, but I don't plan to buy their bits. They sell a Taiwanese magnetic extension which I'll grab if I can't find anything else.

Thanks!

Probably somewhere around 6". Magnetic would be awesome. I'm hoping to use 1" zephyr bits.

That looks like it might work. Thanks!
Actually, I have a sneaking suspicion that's the same extension I was looking at on Mcmaster-Carr.

I like the Wera Rapidaptors. Best bit holders Ive used, even over MiUSA ones.

Or you can buy them already made into screwdrivers and save a step. Both Wera and SO carry them

How are you planning on attaching it?
Hex shank?
Current plan is to use an alarming amount of epoxy and hope for the best. If that doesn't work, I'll try to drill a hole through the handle and the shank of the holder and place a pin.

This driver from McMaster is actually pretty close to what I have in mind: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/bit-holders/precise-control-bit-screwdrivers-6/?s=hex+bit+holders
I'm trying to use a very small diameter handle so that I can keep it in my pocket without too much bulge. I plan to either place a nut at the hilt of the handle or have a quarter inch female square at the base so that I can use a wrench or a ratchet to crank on it if necessary. I haven't decided which, yet.
