I often go to flea markets and shows to buy stuff.

I need a wagon or a dolly or a cart to haul my prizes

very often its a tool box or a big box of wrenches, sometimes it's a small motor

it needs to be easy to maneuver and sturdy at the same time.

A radio flyer is OK, but not heavy enough

a landscapers wagon is heavy enough, but too big

and the wagon front ends cause tippy problems.

maybe a grocery cart with better wheels?

ideas??

Thanks

My FIL used my wife's old wagon to make a cart for hauling stuff around the yard. He took the axles off the radio flyer and attached them to a platform made with a couple chunks of 2x12(maybe 2x10). Then put removable sides on it. I think he used hinges to make them swing down out of the way.

I have a cart that's on 2 larger wheels + a swivel at each end. It'll hold over 500lbs. But it's not easily portable so I don't use it unless I'm using a pickup.

What I'll probably do is add a platform of bits to the old cycling trailer for the kids. It's nylon has seen better days. Folds up; should hold a fair amount, and adding a front support wheel and wagon style handle should work.

The kids are to big for the regular Radio Flyer so I was thinking about getting the running gear off a older wood wagon and put lawn tractor front tires all the way round then build a new deck sized to the new footprint.

I hot rodded my kids' old wagon:

Frame rails are aluminum C channel, rear axle and wheels are old ATV parts, shocks are from mountain bikes. I've put over 300 lbs in it at swap meets with no problems.

I would just get one of the mesh ones with the fold down sides at a big box.
The only problem I have is that the handle is too short.
The wagon bumps my heels.
A 12 or 18 inch extension is on my winter list.

I have the larger Lowes garden cart like the HD above, it's rated at 1300 lbs capacity, sides fold down etc.

Here is one of many wagons my dad makes for various Indy teams and owners.
They sell for up around 5k, my dad loves making them

I put this together to haul all my junk from the truck to the beach in the summer. It's an aluminum hitch hauler from harbor freight and some wheels from an old dump cart that I was using but it wasn't near large enough.
