I need a Torx T25 with at least a 10" long shaft. I would like one made in the USA, or at least not China.

I found a Wera one, but it's out of stock.

I'd evenconsider a screwdriver handle with a really long extension, but I can't seem to find one anywhere (US or Chinese!). 6" seems to be the longest.

I did find a Milwaukee ratcheting stubby screwdriver handle that will work with a Milwaukee bit holder, but it's not US-made. I think it's made in Taiwan.

Anybody got any sources for getting what I'm looking for? I don't want a fat shaft or t-handle, either.

Thanks. What is the country of origin, though? I can get a Snap-On one, but it aint cheap! I suppose I should decide if I want cheap or US made. I'd like both (I was hoping I could find an older Craftsman).

I think now that Craftsman as we knew it is gone, you’re going to have a harder and harder time finding cheap USA made tools that aren’t common/mainstream

Yeah, I'm noticing that! I've bought some Proto tools from Zoro.com, but it's hard to find US-made tools locally, especially if you are looking for something un-common.

Thanks. Snap-On is a little pricey, but I might just need to bit the bullet and do it.

They have a set that is really nice. Always meant to buy them but didn’t lol

The have long t handles as well if that’s something you’d rather have

T25 1/4" hex bit, locking 1/4" hex extension may be another option for you.. this way you can use any bit with the extension, and use a cordless screwdriver, or a hand driver with 1/4" hex drive shaft. Just an idea.

I know you want USA, but I'll post this for anyone else. I don't know if the other brands are like this, but Milwaukee has 1/4" hex bit without the power slot, but just have slight grooves on the edges like this.

These bit lock into into their locking 1/4" hex drive extensions with zero, and I mean ZERO play in them. It might as well be a solid shaft is these type of extensions. I don't know if they were deigned with this in mind, or they just happen to work out this way, but it's pretty amazing actually.

So you can conceivably get one long locking extension, and any number of bits like those. As long as space permits room for the lock on the shaft.

Thanks. I saw something like this at one of the big box stores. It's becoming an option!

I typically like US-made, then anything but China, then a US company that manufactures in Taiwan (I know it's supposedly part of China, but...), then a US company that makes offshore, then Harbor Freight. I don't often have a choice, though.

Blue-Point CTEXT12 is an excellent 12" long 1/4" hex drive extension. I think I've seen a Makita one too.

edit: Before anyone freaks out about tool truck pricing, it's under $20.

German offerings. Not sure how available they are in the US.

I know Milwaukee makes a 12", even an 18" extension. They have different versions. Magnetic, and locking - like I pictured.. they might be magnetic as well too but don't hold me to it.

If you need to put a decent amount of torque on fasteners I'd get a T-handle Wiha. I use the T-27 near daily and have a couple of years use on it. The tips are very strong. They come in 6" & 12" I think among other sizes.

I have 300mm long Wera's (~12')

Those long 1/4 bit drivers that go into an impact are also excellent, i have a few of them in different lengths.

if its only for occasional use you might consider brazing a t25 to the end of some round stock as long as you like. Silver brazing works good for this
