I use two very old, very heavy floor jacks that I found at garage sales. One is 3 ton, one 2 ton. They look a bit like props from old movies.

The HF jacks seem to be very good for the money. I see only positive reports.

Love mine.

Never thought of a HF but probably more than enough floor jack for me.

Thank You,

I bought the HF Daytona floor jack after Snap-On filed a lawsuit against HF. Seems Snap-On claiming patent infringement, it is almost an exact copy of their $600? jack. I bought mine for $179 with coupon (they will give you the coupon if you don't have one) It is a great jack. It is not light, this is a garage type jack. The lawsuit has been settled. Overall the Daytona is better than any of Sears offerings IMHO.https://www.biztimes.com/2017/industries/law/snap-on-harbor-freight-settle-floor-jack-case/
Tempting............ :lol_hitti .............Sure A SWEET Looking Jack!!

I bumped the other thread, I tried to create a Pacer account and was met with a requirement for Credit card and a .10 cent per page charge with a max of $3.00

I have that one.......works well right next to the 40 year old Hein Werner 1.5t all steel heavy weight that leaks alittle.
Heck, Looks Like A Nice Jack For $100.00!!! :headscrat
Always wished we had A Costco Round here.:( :( :( :pimpflash

Don’t need another jack but the orange long reach looks better no ?
Longer before it ramps up . Height looks same/similar on. The saddle size ?

My best friend has a 2.5 ton low-profile HF Pittsburgh jack, that is going on (I believe) 15 years of heavy use. It's been left out in the rain, it's been dragged through the grass, puddles, it looks like hell. I have the same thing, mine's nearly ten years old and used a little less/treated a little better, but both of them have held up just fine with no issues/failures.

It's the only jack I own, but when the settlement card comes, you'd best believe I'm going right out to my nearest HF to pick up a Daytona. The 3 ton long reach low profile seems like a great upgrade choice, since I mostly work on lowered vehicles, and though I'll be buying the extended warranty, what I've heard is that they're pretty solid. The price point simply sweetens things even more.

The orange Daytonas are marketed as 'Heavy Duty' w/ a 90 day warranty. The Yellow is marketed as 'Professional' and has a 3yr warranty. The orange ones have a smaller saddle, thinner frame, smaller wheels, etc, than the yellow Daytona. The yellow Daytona also has grease fittings at swivel points and wheels.

See here for a brief side-by-side in an otherwise pretty annoying video:

Hiball, GJ's resident jack expert, has tore into a yellow Daytona and it has ucups instead of o-rings on the pistons and has magnets for a modicum of filtration, something HF's and most all other China-made floor jacks (incl Arcan, Blackhawk, Craftsman, Torin, Pittsburgh, Powerbuilt, Liftmaster, etc) don't have. Here's Hiball's thoughts on the differences between ucups and orings ...

It's not just a seal, it's the type of seal used, and when comparing a Oring/retainer to a Poly Ucup you are Night in day in regards to sealing ability and most importantly longevity.

I have had the yellow Daytona for a couple years now. It lifts the rear end of my Farmall 560 no problem and will slide under my Cobalt. There is also a an article on here that has the pages of the Snap on lawsuit to harbor freight about these Jack's. They are made in the same factory. Well worth the money
