I need a light switch

I have just completed a new garage light (1954 F-100 grille) and am using a 110v to 12v converter box (low voltage landscape light) to power it. But, I'd like to put an in-line switch on the 12v wire. I found a switch that will work, but can't locate one anywhere within 100-miles of my home. I am not committed to this brand. I just need a black 10a/125v feed-thru cord switch.

If anyone can help me locate one, send me one etc. I'd be grateful.

Menards and Lowes have switches like that on the shelf. They will probably be a different brand and model. Have you looked there?

No Menards anywhere near me (central CA.) Lowes is "out of stock" and will not be ordering anymore, ever. One local store has them in ivory, but the cord is black and I'd like to keep the switch the same.

Ray if you're anywhere near Fresno you might try A-ped. They have virtually everything appliance part related. Also if you're in the area you might try an electric shop on Maple Avenue south of Olive across from BMC. Sorry I can't remember the name right now but they cater to electricians and have a lot of non-standard parts. Fresno Ag and National Hardware come to mind as well. All Fresno area so this may or may not help you

For show and tell get one of those big "Frankenstein" or "mad scientist" type switches used in old movies and mount it on the wall.
Google: electrical knife switches

Examples:

You could always get a big manual disconnect and take it out of it's housing.

Those are used on electric frying pans and such.
Look for a replacement power cord at a good hardware store.

And, I found out that the grille is from a 1953 F-100, not a '54 as the seller had it marked.
