A guy sent me a few pics of this chest and it has me stumped atm. Not particularly well built, looks like low to mid level quality. Has an interesting drop front though with the outline of a badge on the front. Any ideas guys?

I THINK it is an old Remline box. I remember seeing those bubble type front covers before, just can't recall exactly where. :headscrat

It's a beach tool box just google beach tool box and go to images look for the one that is a powder blue. Looks like the powder blue under the red is the original colour. Also look up my grandfather's beach toolbox here on the forum. I didn't see the pic on the forum that was on Google

If it was built by Beach it's not like any one i have seen for a couple reasons. That single pull on the drop front appears original to the box, also where the badge mounts half way up on the front is not typical.

submariner I believe your last post may help explain the mystery here. Though Beach made tool boxes for Gray and others they sold a similar (but not exactly the same) line themselves. Thanks for the help. I am now confident it was made by Beach. I'm thinking it may have been sold under another name though due to the nameplate on the cover.
