Hi guys, I am looking into buying a Quick Drive screwgun. My problem is I can't figure out the differnce between the PROSDD and the PROCC series.

Another problem is I am not sure if I should buy the Makita drill or the Milwaukee drill. I would like the Milwaukee if it is produced in the USA. If not, I would like the Makita if the drill is produced in Japan. If they are both produced other than where I prefer, then I will go for the lesser expensive which is Makita.

I doubt the Milwaukee screwgun would be made in the USA. If Milwaukee is still manufacturing items in the USA it's usually the more expensive items like Magnetic drills, and maybe some of the Sawzalls. On of the Milwaukee screwguns I checked on Grainger also said the COO was China. Most of the Makita screw guns I checked on Grainger also had a COO of China. The exception was the higher cost 6844 unit that has the collated mechanism built in, Grainger had the COO of that item listed as Japan.

Fein manufactures a collated screwgun that uses a collated attachment manufactured specifically for them by Pam. The motor is made in Germany, I'm not sure were the collated attachment is made. The Hilti screwguns now seem to be manufactured in China, but the collated attachments for their screwguns may still be manufactured in Switzerland.

The Milwaukee cordless drill/driver and impact driver I bought a couple weeks ago were made in China. Great stuff regardless.

thank you for your time, but can you tell me about the Pam system.

I am leaning towards the quick drive system because the collated screws are readily available here in Montreal Quebec, Canada.

I honestly don't know all of the differences between the collated screw systems. I do know that the Hilti screws fit in the Fein collated screw-guns, and will likely be compatible with others. The Quick Drive collated system looks like it may not be compatible though. The Pam brochure says the collated screws are compatible with Hilti, Makita, Grabber, Senco, and Milwaukee tools. I haven't tries the Quick Drive system so I can't comment on the quality.
