I'm tired of my crappy crimpers I was trying to do a 0 gauge battery wire and it was a disaster

I'd like a crimper that can do from 16 to 0 gauge (or several) if need be but I want good repeatable crimps

I'm willing to throw up to $250 it

I have one similar to this on my work truck. I use it for #8 and bigger I think the biggest I've done is 2/0 and it will do bigger. For smaller than #8 I use my t&b hand crimper. In the past making stuff like welding leads or battery cables I would just get the propane torch out and solder them.

I've got a T&B p/n TBM5S sitting here right next to me as I type this. I picked it up used, although I have to order one additional die for it (about $75 online). With the full set of dies, it will crimp about anything in that size range that you would ever need to.

Check on Ebay for one of these - keep in mind that each die is $75+, so one that comes with a full set of dies is worth much more than just the crimper with one or two dies.

The best wire crimper I have had the pleasure of using was a Lobster AK-15, pictured here. It was old as hell by the time I got to it, but the self-locking mechanism sprung back like it was only a day old. I would get a used one in a heartbeat.

Your request is like I want a Torque wrench to do all setting.

There is lots of suggestions in prior discussions.

But if you want to do it correctly you need the right crimper for the connector. There is not just one correct choice to cover all needs.
I have crimpers that just do one type of connector and they are $300.
I have 4 heavy gauge battery/welding terminal types and they have worked in different applications.
I have the Deutche crimpers with dies and they were 600.
I might have close to 50 types, some are duplicates since crimpers wear and being caught in the track with a pair of non working crimpers is pointless.
