I Need a Source for InLine Filter

I have a H/F parts washer my father bought me in the early 1990's. Naturally, it is a kwality item hence my need to modify it slightly. If/when I clean heavily greased or gunked material the simple filter tends to clog thereby affecting the performance of the pump. What I want to do is install a bung at the bottom of the tank and plumb for ½" pipe to a two stage filtration setup before routing the fluid back into the tank. I'm trying to source either a cartridge filter setup or something similar where the housing is transparent. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

many industrial/ heavy eq engines have a fuel filter that has a glass bowl on the bottom.
some perkins engines, older bobcats (743/843 come to mind ), seems like some old JD ag tractors had them too

filters are available from napa

I was thinking of going that route; however, I'd like to put in a staged filtration system; otherwise, it's the same as the current setup. The first filter filters larger particles, then a second filter going for smaller particles, and finally a third for finer still.

Anally redundant? Yes, but that's how I am. There's a method to my madness, and by going with a single filter I can see it getting clogged easily. Even two stages would work, but when I think about it I could go two stages of the relocated oil filters.

Very nice. I think you're on to something. I got another idea brewing in my head.
