OK, now that all you old farts are ready to recommend something.........EAT MORE FIBER!! Now the real story.......my cheapo Harbor Freight STOOL was never great for sitting on. But I decided I really need it to be SOFTER! I have a couple of these silicone grid cushions I've bought cheap at one of those "bin" stores. Probably paid $3 each. They help A LOT on longer trips cause I have a bony **** LOL! I had a bit of purple marine vinyl leftover from a 90's jet ski seat recover. So, I took off the thin plastic-like cover, pulled the silicone grid out of the cushion and cut it down to a circle, and had my wife stitch it up..........BAM, a SOFTER STOOL!

At a place I worked at 18 years ago, one operator threw a tantrum over how "uncomfortable" the work chairs were. These were ESD cleanroom-rated chairs, and honestly they were pretty decent for $800 a whack, but this operator was one who just liked to cause drama. She complained so much, claiming the chairs caused "medical issues" with her backside, that it opened a safety incident report over it. The solution was a $2 inflatable hemorrhoid pillow, since no foam or absorbables were allowed in that work area.

Those dang things are surprisingly comfy.

As for the other type of softener, a few former colleagues attempted to "prank" a coworker by spiking his drinks with magnesium citrate. Stools were softened. Softened so much he didn't make it out of his office and wrapped himself with a garbage bag. Themoaryouknow.gif

I would mention tongue in cheek but the anatomy side of things seems in a different direction. As to seat cushions, back in the late 90’s I had a 7 BMW 2002 I was working on and the seats were shot. I was a student pilot at that time and heard about an outfit, Oregon Aero. They manuf airplane seats and they offered a couple different cushions. They were/are not cheap, but while the cars I’ve had t hem in have come and gone I still have that cushion in my Tacoma.
Now, back to the topic at hand, if I have a problem I will eat 3 prunes, at which point I don’t dare leave the bathroom.

I was just thinking that I may have a need for some of these. What kind of “bin store“ sells them that cheap?

We have a "bin" store here in town. This place is around 5000sq ft and has rows of these 4x8 tables with a 6" lip.........it's a 'bin'. Most of this stuff is Amazon returns. But I've also picked up Harbor Freight stuff, and Home Depot stuff there as well. They stock every Thursday and are closed. On Friday ANYTHING is $15 each. Saturday is $10, Sunday is $5, Monday is $3, Tuesday is $2, and Wednesday is $1. Then it starts over. I've found some real good buys in there over the last couple years. I'm going fisrt thing tomorrow,.......I'll post my $5 finds if I buy anything!!!

First pic is of these 4x8 bins.........yes, you have to dig! Next pics are todays loot! Landscaping edging, a wire shelf my wife found, a ladder stabilizer, and some more goodies. Part of that I will resell. I'll end up with my stuff free and make a few bucks to boot! My wife found some more stuff too that's not pictured.
