Here's the scoop, I am putting in a high lift conversion as well as converting from an extension spring to a torsion spring setup.

Well, they failed to tell me that the conversion kit didn't include the bar and I don't know where to start to find it. The only info they gave me is that it needs to be about a foot wider than my garage door, and that it's 14 gauge aluminum...

Can anyone help? I'm stuck right now until I get this. I'm in Bucks county PA for anyone somewhat local that knows where I can pick up what I need.

Thanks.

Are you talking about the round bar that the springs slip over?
Do a search here, but I am sure that you want to go with a round steel bar, not aluminum and not pipe.
Measure the hole in the spring hubs and match it.
Those hubs are just held in place with pointed set screws and the take the whole load of the springs.
I wouldn’t trust aluminum to take the stress.

Well, the best I could find locally today was solid 1.000" aluminum. I'll see how that works. If that doesn't work, I guess I will need to keep looking for a steel bar.

Do you have any local door companies you could check with? I have the old steel pipe from my old door you could have if you were local. It looks to be just a heavy wall steel tubing, I don't think I would trust aluminum with that much torsion stress.

Well, there is only ~4 feet of unsupported length, so 4ft of solid 1" aluminum should be fine.

I have just about everything bolted up, I just need to make sure everything is correct, specifically that the spring on the left has the red paint, along with the left pulley, and the right spring and pulley have black paint.

Plus the cables they sent are 12.5' long, but supposedly can be adjusted. They have a crushed collar at the end, and another collar that I'm guessing can be crushed at the correct length. My question is how much should be wrapped on the pullies when the door is fully closed? One turn, zero turns?

Thanks.

Well, due to the fact that I don't want any problems, I decided to look around and keep searching and actually found some 1.00" solid steel bar. It's heavier, and probably overkill, but for $35 it's worth the peice of mind that it's safe.
