I have IR 5hp compressor that puts out 18. cfm at 90 psi.

I need to do some work that requires a cut off wheel to cut auto sheet metal, an air chisel and a reciprocating saw.

I'm looking at the CP Model# CP7900 reciprocating saw.
A cut off wheel there seem to be a million....I would guess any IR, CP or AirCat. But I'd really like to get the best for my money...who doesn't?

Same with the air hammer/chisel.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I see a few folks on our shop floor with the CP air saws but they mainly use tmen on plastic parts fab and modification, but the company tool buyer and tool crib mgr prefer the Blue Point air saw/body saw units at nearly the same (or less) price ($132 last time I checked) but it seems more reliable and parts are far easier to get.

If used regularly, air saws do need to be rebuilt or have parts replaced often just due to thier nature.

Less cotsly and good are the IR units.

For cutoff wheels we use 1/4" IR , Blue point or Snap-On die grinders and 4" dia. pre-pregnated cutoff discs. We work with vehicles so use it on sheet metal as well as armor for the work that get shot at on occasion. Face shields, gloves and often welder sleeves for major work with that 4" but the 3" dia. cutoff guard units just don;t cut it on a modification floor for us with that small disc.

EDIT: Whoops, guess the Blue Point is $180, but we buy them 6 at a time thus the price confusion. Sorry.
