I got my plumber to put in some 3/4" copper pipe for my compressor. I have three outlets that run a total of app. 30 ft. Should this pipe be angled in such a way that water will drain back to its origination? Where should I put a valve for drainage or should I use a filter and where should I put the filter? I plan on getting a 60 gal upright dual stage good quality compressor.

Thanks

I prefer the line to slope away from the compressor. Put a drain valve at the end of the line in a convenient-to-reach place (near a door or floor drain).

x2 If you slope away from your compressor just make sure you have drain leg on the sloped end, I just installed a ball valve on my drain leg that works great. This way you don't have extra condensation in your tank.

I would think that it depends on how often you plan on draining your lines and how much moisture you develop.
If you leave it the lines for a while and have it draining to the end of the line, than every time you go to use the air you will be draining out that way with a simple shot to the gound.
If you have a lot of moisure than get a smaller secondary tank higher than your compressor tank. feed that secondary tank and take you run off of the top. This will be a simple knock out drum. I use it on my system and it works great.

Every leg down in my system is a drip leg. The main runs slope to a common corner, but there is a drain on every drop and one where the compressor is plumbed into the piping.
