I need some help...

A few easy questions for the folks at the GJ...

At the old website I knew how to delete several hundred p.m.'s, but alas I am in the dark on how to do this, I am sure it is simple but not for an old geezer like myself.

Second question, in the past I could send a quick pm to the Mod's and have someone's post removed and placed in the right post section, but again I am in the dark on how to do that?

Third and last question can a person upload some picture/or find a cool picture on the web and make that their avatar? I guess after 13 years of seeing the letter "W" I would some kind of change, also if I run into problems How do I contact a Mod to get some more help.

You can use Windows "Paint" to create an avatar image. You just have to reduce it down to conform to the maximum size limits.

"report" at the bottom right of each post is how you let the mods know of issues

With the latest changes, you can no longer delete an entire post, but you can “edit” them down to one word. Just edit to “deleted”. You can do that a maximum of 10 times in a 24 hour period. That limit was put into place after a few guys got mad and deleted thousands of posts which upsets the overall system In some way. Ryan explained it once.

This should get you started;

2/3 of the way over on your conversations page (beside reply) there is a check box beside each message
click on a box opens a tab lower left of the screen "select action"
Click "leave conversation" deletes the messages and also brings up other options

To delete a full page of messages, obviously click on the envelop looking thing in the banner, then there is a box on the right that says “selected” click on it, and then a box will open at the bottom of the screen, it will give you the option to select all.

#3- Woody, you can add a photo by clicking on your default "W" icon in the top tool bar. A small Your Account screen will open, in this screen the word edit will be on that "W" (or whatever image someone has as their profile icon. Click the image and an avatar box pops up where you can click to add an image.

for Pm's ( conversations)... on the right 3rd of the page you see check boxes beside the messages . click on those and select delete .
however, with the new software, there's no limit to PM's so no need really to delete them

I know that some PMs that were in your inbox during the changeover are now stuck there. I have some I'd like to dump but unable to do so.

I just checked & deleted some from 2019 . how old were your messages?
