Guys,
I have always come here to learn from all the expierance that you all have.
I need some advice regarding a small engine swap. I have a 8hp Tecumseh that is blown ( ran w/o oil) & it was given to me to repair.
Finding a used HMSK 80 or similar is imposible because of the recent blizzards her in Mass.
I was looking at the China Harbor freight engines on line. I noticed a bunch of guys on You Tube swaped to these for their blown snowblower engines.

Does anyone have a web page/link to give me a bit of knowledge on the lining up of the pulley? I was told that an adapter is needed to install the tecumseh pulley on the predator motor. It needs a Crank shaft adapter 3/4 to 1 inch according to an ebay post for the sale on a adapter.

Any advice will be great!! Again, I came here because I know someone must have so info on these conversions.

I hate to put a China made motor on this, but it's the quickest fix for this guy before the next noreaster on Monday.

Thanks Guys !

Surely someone local sells Honda utility motors. I would avoid the china made stuff too. I had a brand new Husqvarna snow blower with a Chinese motor a couple years ago. It did not survive the first snow storm.
