For a minute my friends were calling me "leave em' alone Orlando".

How come?

I am thinking of the song "Institutionalized" by Suicidal Tendencies. I believe that during one of Mike Muir's rants within the song, he speaks those words.

I'd have to cue it up to be sure, though.

What do you work on, mostly?

They mostly refered to me as "leave em alone Orlando" because I said that so much. Whenever someone was being harrassed for not "manning up" around the neighborhood, I'd say "leave em alone, he'll figure it out."
You know what, If those were lyrics to a song, I have no doubt that Institutionalized would be the song.
I'm a big lowrider nut! I love working on Old chevies. I've got a chevy bowtie tattood to my left arm. Just loves me an old chevy. I just sold a 65 impala to put some money in my pocket as I made the decision to go back to school. I'm looking into picking up a late 40's early 50's chevy custom cab pickup right now. I'm broke BUT I AM JONESING!
Where are you from and what do you work on?

I'm from the terrible state of Massachusetts.

I've been a GM guy all my life...Pontiac mostly. When I was in high school, I begged my uncle to sell me my grandfather's old '76 Monte Carlo. He wouldn't do it, said he was going to "restore" it. I found a '77 Grand Prix instead and that kind of made me a Pontiac guy for life. He finally towed the old Monte off the property a year or two ago, all rusty and moldy.

At one time, I owned like five or six old Pontiacs at once...mostly cheap ones that I picked up and worked on: '77 Grand Prix, '69 GTO, '69 Catalina convertible, '92 Formula, '95 Formula, '78 Grand Lemans. I've only got the GTO and '95 Formula left...life changed and I am not young with no responsibilities anymore, I guess!

There are some Bowtie products I'd love to own...a '57 Bel Aire or Nomad, or maybe a '69 Nova...possibly a mid 70s Z28 with all the goofy graphics. Not likely anytime soon, though.

What are you going back to school for?
