Wow, I retired at 44. 46 now and I help out for free 3 day's a week at a local garage.(somthing to keep my sanity) Been doing this for 1 1/2 yrs now, decided I needed a week off today to finish a project around home. Going back to work next Wednesday. I agree with the OP, you gotta live once in awhile, life is too frickin' short. If I learned one thing in my 21 yrs. in the Military and time over sea's and injuries, have fun, live life, you never know when your time is up.

Im taking a few Saturdays off over the next couple of months to do some things i need to and some i want to. paid or not paid, don't matter, I worked fifty hr+ for too many years to not be able to take some me time.

I went tuna fishing last week and called out while we were at the dock. One of the guys that were with us asked what my boss would think of it. I said I think he is fine with it seeing he is right there.

I need one because of this massive project we're doing at work but haven't had time to take one - although race weekend seem to help.

I usually spend most of a day here - spring or fall when it's not 110F.
