Ah ha, hence the disappearance of overzealous dealers, that give too many obvious risks credit.
That's a two way street btw... My dealer told me that the best thing that can happen for him sometimes is if some guy says "I can't afford my payments" and just gives it all back... so now in effect, he has "Equity" and the asset. He often turns around and sells the repo'd items for more than was owed.. Also, he's had quite a few of his "Clients" get sent back south of the boarder due to legality issues, and the shop owner would just hand him their entire box and contents .. no questions asked.
