So on 4 January I order an Extreme Tools top hutch for my toolbox from Network Tool Warehouse ( NTXTools.com ). Here it is the 12th of January and my order is still pending. They don't answer their phone or reply to emails. This order is $938.00! My credit card was charged on the 7th. I just disputed the charge to my card. Next retailer I'll make sure I can contact them before I order.

After I ordered I read some bad reviews but was hoping that they had changed their business practices. But they haven't.

The price of a good deal is never as sweet as it could be when poor customer service leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Sorry for the troubles!

Update: Received my order on the 22 January. They web page still had my order pending....Now, I don't think 18 days waiting for my order was too out to lunch, but I wish they would communicate better.

Many times these companies do not keep the item in stock. It is either in a warehouse elsewhere or may be on a slow boat from China. Either way, it's no excuse for poor customer service.

I've never had to do it... can you "cancel" a CC dispute? Or do you have to create a new transaction?

I'm pretty sure that when you start a dispute, your CC company will send you a confirmation letter in the mail. When you read it over it should give you the option to proceed. Simply don't proceed and it should self-cancel. This is how it worked my my CC card the last time I had a dispute. Best of luck & keep us posted!

It depends on what/how you dispute, and their policy.

When I recently reported a pair of fraudulent charges, I was sent a letter in the mail a month later that the dispute was settled in my favor, and that was that.

In this case, I'd suggest calling the credit card company back, and explaining the situation. They'll know best how to work it out.

I have had to do a couple CC disputes.
You can notify the company that the issue was sesolved and they will resend the money to the vendor and close the case
