You can absolutely take a orbital sander with 220 to the table top and clean it up in quick fashion. As PoorUB and other have stated, it takes a lot of effort to actually remove cast iron material with that grit and setup.

Orbital sander, then polishing wax, then Johnson paste wax = quick and purty

Sometimes I wonder if some people think OBO means "or more than that."

As if someone is actually going to offer above their ask or they expect a bidding war.

Offering above the asking price is not uncommon. I think the "B" on OBO is interchangeable. It could be best or better.
Or best offer is not confined to up or down. I got a new one ripped, on this forum for offering 4 times what the seller was asking.
The low-baller showed up and bought all. I bought several of the items from this first call low-baller for 4 times what he paid. The seller looked confused. Lista cabinets are worth more than $50/each. $200 was way below market used value.
I have often asked what is also for sale. Ask for a package deal.

Not yet, was just gonnna start to get into cleaning it up. Wanted the manual to just kinda get an idea of the ins and outs of it.

Most people are OK with that. You are rewarding them for their time, and have had some even tell me they are considering it Sold as of our conversation!

I've purchsed things this way. I would put a deposit down as a measure of good faith and pay the remainder when I picked up the item.

By the way, the original power switch for that cutout in the bottom cabinet is likely this one:

One of the images shows a dimensioned drawing for it, so you should be able to determine the fit pretty easily.

The existing power switch setup that it came with looks pretty janky, it's going to leak air when you connect a dust collector, and of course you can't lock it, should you need to.

Awesome, thanks! Definitely replacing that switch. I have a shelving project I need to do with some rough cut oak, so I am gonna get this thing in good shape.

I do quite a bit of woodworking and never use any type of oil or wax on a table due to the fact that oil and wax will be in the wood and cause poor staining and "fisheyes" in any hard finish. There is a special finish for table saws. I use pre-stain conditioner prior to staining.
To clean tables/joiners and planers I use an orbital sander to 220 grit then use a 1/4 sheet random orbit sander up to 400 or 600 grit.
