I think I better make room for some cabinets.

I desperately need better-organized storage. A neighbor is most likely bestowing upon me some drawer cabinets; 24" or 30 wide by 70" tall each if I had to guess. So that's going to be pretty awesome and helpful.

I just don't know where I will be able to put them; I have an 8' long makeshift bench for trans. building, a 48" x 30" ? wood workbench I built when we moved in, and my press & parts washer in front of each other, all in a half-wide car bay at the left side of the garage.

Someone posted a link to a lay-out-your-garage / building site a while ago I think I have the link to, so I'll probably chip away with that before the weekend. It's just so much re-org to do all of a sudden. Although, by the same token, sometimes an opportunity is the best thing to put you in motion to achieve what needs done in a timely fashion.

Mentally, where do you start?

I have no advice for you because I have the same problem, LOL. I swear I don't do anything in my garage but clean and organize (not that I ever get organized.lol). I went out over the weekend and spent 3 hours moving tools around, I have so much old odd ball hand tools that i never use but just can't seem to get rid of. I have two sets of kitchen upper cabinets that I mounted too high to actually be of use, lol. Told the wife that I wished I could just gut the garage, sell everything and start over. GOod luck!
