Quite chuffed with myself with this one.

I bought this collection of SO bits from eBay;

$_12.JPG

All I wanted from it was the A161B trim tool. The other bits are a PH2 screwdriver, a 1/4" hand driver, T40 and T45 3/8" sockets, and a 9/16" flexy socket (also 3/8" drive). Price paid £26 delivered.

So when the package arrived, the trim tool went in my tool box, and the rest of it got relisted individually on eBay, all as buy it now items. Amazingly, the two Torx sockets sold within half an hour of listing (both to the same buyer) and then an hour later the 1/4" driver also sold. The other two bits haven't yet, but so far, minus fee's and postage, I've netted £20 - meaning the trim tool stands me in at £6!

I should explain about prices though - in the US, the A161B costs $33.50 (£19), but in the UK it's £30, which is $50! So I paid £6, which is $10

Not sure it gives me "suckage" status, but I'm pretty pleased how it worked out. Now if the other two bits would sell, I'd expect to clear probably £14, meaning I would be £8 better off than when I started, plus I'd have the trim tool I was after :thumbup:

I'm wouldn't mind one of those myself. I use the radiator hose pics a lot, not for hoses though, and that shape one would/could be useful too.

I've also just found out there's a third trim pop tool too - the A181 (http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...D=636307&group_ID=675775&store=uk&dir=catalog)

Seems to be the same as the 177 I have, but with the dimple/recess on the other side. I never knew this one existed, but now I look at it, it makes more sense to have the dimple on the "front" side, than it does to have it on the "back" like the 177.

I'll have to look into picking up one of these too!

Then of course, I wanna replace all the handles with orange ones, like this;

There's two on ebay US right now (161 and 177) but with STUPIDLY high prices! Over $100 each!

If your snappy guy is like mine. Smash the handle with a hammer and tell him what color you want :) that's how he sold a set of repoed screwdrivers to a guy lol. "Don't like the color? Oops handle broke btw I'd like green"

Ha, I wish! I don't really have a SO guy anymore. There's one in my town that I have used to warranty a screwdriver blade with, but the most I've ever bought from him is a PH2 bit for my ratchet screwdriver. Maybe if I was a regular that spent a chunk of change..!

Goddam those orange handles are hot!!!!

I've got one of those, albeit a non-snappy one. Works great for all sorts of stuff.

Repo'd screwgies? I would expect them to repo a box, but screwdrivers?
