Don't know about that model, but having a lathe around is nice. Once you fix it up and learn how to use it, you'll think of all kinds of things to do with it :)

Thanks Bob, I would appreciate a copy. How do you like yours? Have you needed any parts for it? Im learning here as I go. Anywhere you think I could find a tool holder, pulley or motor? Im gonna start checking craigslist and ebay.

I've seen those with accessories and all the gears sell for $1000. Put it on craigslist for $500 and you'll have guys fighting over who gets to give you money.

My wife said I should sell it. But I found an old motor in the garage threw it on there with a belt and she spins even the threading shaft (Forgive me I know nothing about metal Lathes) spins and moves the carriage pretty fluid. So now I'm thinking I would keep it maybe I could learn to use it and even put it to some useful purpose not to mention add a new skill to my tool chest. On the fence right now but sure would like to try and put it to some use. I mean a free tool is a free tool.

For reference a lot of the old Cman lathes were really Atlas lathes. This will probably help you in finding info/parts. http://www.practicalmachinist.com is a good place to look at and ask questions about this kind of stuff especially for machine specific questions. Most general questions can probably be answered around here.

I would quick as possible go back and see if any of the other parts are there like chucks, tool holders, steadys, and change gears. What you have is a bare lathe and without a few more of the parts needed to make a good machine what you have is not going to get you very far. As for http://www.practicalmachinist.com as a place to get information you will not get to far as they don't tolerate hobbiests very well. You can do lots of reading at PM but don't ask questions about home quality machines. You will do better going to http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/ and ask around as they are fellows more in tune with the hobbiest.
