Doing alittle fixing in our bathroom. In short installing an old work triple gang plastic box to house three switches.

1. vanity lights
2. shower lights
3. vent fan.

Everything is running off the same 15 amp breaker. I am running switch loops from the various devices back to the triple gang box. Being the box is plastic do I have to tie all the grounds together and then run jumpers to the switches or can I just straight terminate to the switch? I was trained for electrical work and did a bunch of field stuff when I was in the Army, but that was well over 20 years ago and field standard and NEC standards I realize could be very different. My gut it telling me I am supposed to tie them together, but wanted to ask the guys that have been doing this?

I would agree with you that tying them all together then pig tails to each switch would give the best performance. That is the way I have always done it, even when using metal boxes.

There are other ways to do it, but individually pigtailing the grounds and incoming hot will be easiest to remove a single switch while leaving the others in place. This will leave you with a few extra wire nuts in the box though. Take a look at the picture for another way to do it.

All (4) neutrals should be pig tailed together and stuck in the back of the box.

I always put my bath fan on a timer switch that has 10, 30, 60, 120 minute settings. Set it and forget it.
