but I could be wrong. Maybe a key part of some Canadian mating ritual - like ice hockey (but not ice hockey).

Picked this up from a going out of business sale at a trucking company. Appears never to have been used, though the paint has clearly been undermined and lifted by water moisture. What the heck is its intended application?

OK, sorry, couldn't resist. Some equipment, including OTR trucks, have clutches on the engine cooling fan so that it only operates above a certain temp, to improve gas mileage. This is a wrench for removing those, with several common sizes in the wrench.

I in the torch/regulator/line fitting camp as well.
Worked on a lot of OTR trucks and never used a wrench that looked like that on a fan clutch.

Damn. That is quite the resource. Thank you.

Now. Who wants the lesser part of an incomplete fan clutch removal tool kit (for free)? Shipping costs would likely ****, but local pick-up / hand-off is on the table.

* If you do not have the patent number, but the piece is stamped with the patent DATE, you can usually find what you're looking for at datamp.org - the Directory of American Tool & Machinery Patents.
at the top, just put the patent DATE into the little box and click "GO" - voila! the website will magically provide your answers.
* if the information is not at datamp.org, go back to the U.S. Patent Office website and click "advanced" up at the top and start poking around.
