I have been wondering why pink has become a fad even with tools. I have never understood why a man would want a pink tool. I was thinking back about a previous job I worked at and then it hit me why people buy pink tools. At my old job, seemed they had a problem with keeping screwdrivers in the assembly area. For some reason they would just disappear. Well one day we had a hot job going through there, and we was running short of enough screw drivers for everybody. The boss man was pissed, and ran to sears to get some. I figured he would just get a few packs of whatever Craftsman had on sale. What he came back with was the ugliest screw drivers I have ever seen. They had flowery design hard handles. Of course somebody asked him first thing why in the world would he buy these. His answer was "Because nobody will steal these unless they are queer". I get it now.

Another closed minded thread about how pink tools are "gay". Way to be a sheep. ;)

I don't think pink tools are "gay" at all, in fact I rock some to support my best friend's wife who is fighting breast cancer, but if I saw some dude sporting floral designs, I would seriously have to wonder.

Pink tools are kinda artsy fartsy!

Would any man like a pink Mustang??????????????

How about a jacket that is pink? any man?

A pink house?

A pink tool box?

Then why a pink tool, pink tools are gay if you are a guy.

That old saying "only a real man can wear a pink shirt" LMFAOROF................the only guys I ever see wearing pink, drive Saabs or some other similar car type, and don't know an ice pick from a screwdriver.

Pink is not a manly color, flip flops are not manly footwear, etc, etc...

If we were in Japan, we would consider them "masculine" since the Japanese agree pink to be a ******** manlike badass color.

I wear pink t-shirts on occasion. Never heard an ill comment about it.

I don't have any pink tools, and probably won't unless I find them at a huge discount.

We have adverts on tv here with a big hot pink Iveco van. I want a hot pink Iveco van.

My sentiments exactly. I'm not sure how liking a certain colour makes you gay. Invertly, does liking other certain colours make you straight?

exactly you buy pink tools 75% of the time it wont walk away but you buy red tools 75% chance it will walk away

If my tools "walk away" it's safe to say the person who helped them in their escape won't be walking away. ;)

What's funny, and i've said this before....PURPLE is the nationally recognized "gay"color.

If a man can't wear or use something "pink" then he must be worried about the orientation of his *********.

A pink tool box?

Yes please.

I'd rock that in a heartbeat, it would like quite nice sitting next to my electric orange KRL. And I apparently don't need to worry about most of you guys stealing it to boot!

I'd rock the pink box if I got it at a good enough price. I wouldn't pay extra for it, but I'd sure as heck use it! Shoot, I'd use a purple one.

If someone is going to give me serious flack (not just kidding around) then that is someone who's opinion I don't really value. It's a color between red and white, what is the big deal?

Saab's aren't technically gay. They are European. That makes them bisexual.

Yeah, if you say so.

I wouldn't give a **** who said it. I'm not about making other people happy, especially when it comes to my own posessions.

Hey i love pink that's the color of a women box (trying to not be extremely crude) nothing looks better than that. If you can't get over a color you might want to see what other issues you have.

And another sad thread is born.

Yeah, I agree.

I can't believe people on EITHER side are so worked up about colors of tools. Only SO can bring this out in guys, what with all their pretty rainbow color scheme options that they offer.

Th pink snap on tools don't go towards breast cancer

I never said they did... I have a few different brands of pink tools, and I carry them just to show my support. Whenever someone asks me about them, I tell them.

To put funds towards cancer research, I donate to charity.

Is it true that once you go black, you'll never go back?

Because no white tools want you? :spit:

I do not get the hole color thing, If your tech had that pink box would you not turn your back on him because he might bend you over?

If you have to use colors to generalize other people you are not very secure about yourself plan and simple.

Colours are colours, that's it. You can't judge a person based on a colour they like. Aside from that, if any of your guys were in a position to employ a tech, would you turn them away on the basis of them having pink tools or them being gay?

All you guys who go on like "Yeah, pink tools are gay!" think about that. ;)

Yes, that and possibly they're worried about being seen as being gay. I'm not gay, don't give a toss whether people think i am or not, if someone thought i was gay on the basis i use a pink screwdriver then they're not really worth my time. ;)

It is a badass car in a badass colour. Just need a lime green Cuda to go with it! :D

I will have to try to find the study for you but apparently straight males tend to go for certain shades of blue. Not so much as a liked color but subconsciously they buy things in blue.

As far as figuring out if someone is gay or straight just by color choice, if they know all sorts non-primary colors and use them to decorate their home I would wonder.
