I want some 1/2 sockets suggestions (or do I even need them?)

No, and I don't need to.

You could get a good set sometimes. What I said is that quality varies too much. Not worth the risk. When I'm removing an axle bolt or a crankshaft pulley bolt or flywheel bolts, I simply couldn't trust one of those. On the other hand I would be willing to do those sorts of jobs with the cr-mo impacts. Not my preference but I wouldn't fear for my safety.

Those 3/4" socket sets they sell are complete Chinese garbage. You couldn't give me that set. And they don't even compare to the impact sockets being discussed here.

I honestly don't even own 1/2" chrome sockets. I have a set of shallow and deep impact metric sockets that I use either on my ratchet or on my impact when the 1/2" need arises.

I have yet to actually "need" a 1/2" chrome socket

Yep, same here. Use 1/2" drive constantly and don't even own chrome sockets.

For the stuff ur gonna use 1/2" and above on(17mm and up)
Your not gonna find a bolt that large of size that has clearance issues around it that u need chrome over a impact socket that's probably an 1/8" or so diameter thicker
