I wouldn't mind the cranberry color but I wouldn't take a pink box to my job even if I got it for free. I would never hear the end of it. :lol_hitti

Thats an excellent deal!! I'd borrow the money for that or put it on the old credit card card.

I could easily see that selling for more that $1400

Out of my mind... Be back soon!
There was a pink Snappy box on Fleabay some years back. Somebody wrote in and said he remembered being on the assembly line when it was being custom-made for a special order. Apparently a guy had a daughter who was a tech, and he wanted her to have the only factory-painted pink Snap-on box.

So they're out there... or at least one is!

I have had guys ask for pink. No one will ask to borrow tools out of a pink box.
Pink tools sell as fast as i can get them. I made sure the powers to be at snap on saw how fast the tools sold. the mothers day stuff flew off the shelves and I still show a couple of mothers day ssdmr4b ( pink screwdriver ) on backorder. they are gone gone gone.

I've always wondered about ads like that, that state the box is only a year or 2 old,but that KRL761 with the single top drawer,(vs.the current 722 2-drawer model) hasn't been available new for many years now.Can a dealer get you a non-current model box? I'd love a box that.

Thats a pretty smoking deal on that box.....

PS.. My understanding is that S/O built a few Pink boxes over the years and the last one that showed up on ebay was a female technician's personal box. IIRC I think S/O had to build 5 of those to justify the setup costs for the powder paint, etc.

There was one posted on baltimore craigslist a year or two ago. She claimed it was one of two and Snap on had the other one.

I doubt is guys. You will see we are smaller in #'s then you think. He could probably come up with the 1400 though.

I doubt they would all kick in. While that # is higher than I expected, I just saying everyone isn't gonna kick in.

If we all thought there was a damn good reason for Joelfke to have that box, we'd all kick in no problem. The thing is though, we'd have to designate somebody to collect the donations and hold on to it until the required amount was collected; otherwise, Joelfke might spend it all rather than save it up. :D

valid point. however if you saw the amount of tools i have crammed into the 22x18x60 box combination you might donate your $5 haha

im not saying i have any reason why I should get all donations to get a new box other than im interning at a dealership making 8 bucks an hour and going to school. although im open to any and all donations lol

and like i said if it ever happened that i got a box donated to me by you fine people i would make damn sure to adhere everyones name to the box in large print. :)

Actually if all of the ( regular members ) donated $1.00 each it would most likely get Joe the $1400 needed to buy the box pretty easy . I am sure I could spare a buck fifty ( gota pay for the stamp to send the buck :D ) .

That's a good deal.

I was ready to pull the trigger on special-order purple for my set but got a deal on (blah) Snap-on red that I could not refuse. No regrets.

Quit talking about pink boxes....

Let's get this box donation started for this guy. I'm not working but I'll donate a couple dollars. How about you post your current box crammed with tools so we can see your need? I believe you but maybe some other members don't.
It was my idea so it's not like you asked us or anything.
Come on you guys let's do something nice for someone else. It's not going to cost much to make another fellow GJer happy...

Why don't we all just send him $2 thru paypal as a gift. Would be easier.

Might even be better to see if you could buy the box first. This way, you have the box and everone doesn't donate for the guy to sell it last minute. Where is the box located?

Yeah that would be good. We would need a mod. to sticky this or start a new thread so more people see it.

Well I'm in your area. Marlton is 1/2 hr from me and Monroe is 1/2hr the other way.

If they do the donation, I may be able to buy the box and store it in my garage until you have the funds to buy it.

I'm okay with helping you out if you like the box, just don't wanna get stuck with another box. I have too many as it is. I'm seeing the same deals, as I check daily. I am pretty sure there is a krl1022 for $2500 right now, but I think the 761 for $1400 is a better deal.

Ive done several of these pass the hat type things to help friends before. It works great and I would happily pitch in a few bucks to help a fellow GJ'er out!
