New board member here. 35 years in the RCAF as an aircraft mechanic, now I've retired and joined the reserves, and run the Tool Crib in my old hanger. It can hold 6 P3's, so it is HUGE compared to my 2 car at home. Kind of helps me keep everything in perspective. Especially when I see some of the dream projects being built on this forum. Some of you guys are extremely fortunate. I'm hoping to incorporate some of the ingenius ideas from here into my own little "toy shop".
Cheers!

Military air base, military aircraft, military hanger, taking pictures???? What action does not fit with the others? Sorry, pictures from my work space will never happen. P3 aircraft are all over google photos, big hanger looks like any other big hanger, I think its cool they've let a "tool junkie" work in their tool crib :) Keep thinking someone is going to say "Oh your enjoying yourself too much" gotta move you some where else. There must be other ac mechanics on this site? I've seen some really cool ac hanger/garages on private land. Some one with an old Stearman and a grass strip next to their house, that sort of thing.
On another site (Jeep forum), I came across this build thread on a real nice garage/fab shop http://nsjc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=shopandgarage&action=display&thread=37077 its a long one!
