I wouldn't mind if it was engraved like this ...

That's actually pretty cool looking; it has that aerospace inventory control number look. :)

I always thought it would cool to have some sort of laser engraver that would work on handtools mostly to overwrite peoples name and initials on wrenches (funny thing, they don't seem scrawl so much onto screwdrivers/pliers/sockets/ratchets...I guess the esthetic outbursts are saved for wrenches).

Anyhow, you could design or steal some sort of fillagree artwork and blast away 'FRED' on a cheaper eBay set.

We've engraved a lot of our tools with an free-hand engraver.

I'm going to start engraving a few new sets with a name and followed by a number to denote each set.

I don't let my personal set out of my house, though I've loaned tools to friends, I think I've got (most!) back, but I'd should've put my initials on them a long time ago.

Sold for $57.97 ... that's a pretty good price for the seller. The seller had excellent pictures; that makes a big difference.

I have found a few tools over the years where the person would grind one, two, or three marks into the tool. I'd much rather have a name or number engraved in them.
