I just bought a Frigidaire refrigerator from Lowes that has an ice maker. My old fridge did not have that option. I live in a 2009 single wide mobile home and will be running the line from my sink to the ice maker through my cabinets. I don't want to have to deal with going under the trailer. My current water supply to the sink is the clear/white plastic tubing. I have read bad reviews on the saddle valves so I don't want to go that route. What do you guys recommend? I would need appx 20-25' of hose. That may be on the high side since I have not measured it yet. What type of connection for my sink supply to tap into? Not sure on the current size of the hose, I will measure when I get off work. I'm limited to Lowes and a couple small supply stores.

If you have regular shut off valves they make a double out let. One for the sink and one for a ice maker. Don't for get to add aprox 10 feet to your tubing so that you can coil it up behind the refer so that you can pull it out to clean under and behind it.

Sounds like you need to put a tee at one of your supply line connection ends under the sink. You then run the small 1/4 inch line to the icemaker. I would recommend that tee be after the valve, so you can access the line without turning off whole house water. It is probably good idea to put a valve in the icemaker line as well, so that could be shut off and still keep the sink water operational if needed.

easiest would be to get two sharkbite connectors and a stop valve like you have under the sink (or should have). A lot of manufactured homes have odd size lines/pex so measure carefully.

All you would need to do is cut the cold water tubing (turn off the home water valve first), insert the valve with the sharkbites (hose clamps may work just fine, if you get a valve with hose barbs) and then run the ice maker hose to the newly installed stop

I believe the line coming out of the floor under the sink is pex but I'm not 100%. Then it has a fitting to the clear/white pvc supply hose. I'm gonna measure and take pics when I get home.
